I want my cars

Jalen is crazy about the movie Cars. It's the only thing he ever wants to watch. The two things that he asks for in the morning are milk (mum-mum) and Cars (cah).

At this age it's hard to get a kid to sit in the carseat for a long period of time. Occasionally, we can get Jalen to stop his complaining by sticking a pacifier in his mouth. This is not a good thing because he should hardly be getting his pacifier now. But sometimes you just don't want to hear it. Anyhow, it can get him to shut up but it can't cure his boredom.

lock and key

Here's a quick rundown of what happened the other day. I let Jalen hold the car key while I was strapping him in. I shut the door, but I didn't grab the key. He locked me out. This happened in a matter of seconds and in case you didn't know, kids love to press buttons. He amused himself with the panic button a bunch of times, dropped the key and proceeded to freak out and cry. Breaking the car window was an option, but I didn't want to spray him with broken glass and it's harder than you think. Luckily, I was in front of the house and was able to break in and get the spare car key (my house keys were locked in the car with Jalen). Well, Eumi always wanted to replace that decrepit old door.
